India: Copper recovers on fresh demand
NEW DELHI, MAY 7:
Copper recovered by Rs 2 a kg in the local non-ferrous metal market on Saturday on fresh buying by stockists on pick-up in demand.
Traders said fresh buying by stockists on pick-up in industrial demand helped copper prices to trade higher.
In the national capital, copper wire scrap, copper wire bar and copper mixed scrap recovered by Rs 2 each Rs 502, Rs 525 and Rs 486 a kg, respectively.
Following were today’s quotations per kg:
Tin ingot 850, zinc ingot 133.50, nickel plate (4x4) 1,065—1,067, gun metal scrap 226 bell metal scrap 228, copper wire scrap 502, copper wire bar 525, copper mixed scrap 486, Utensil scrap 224, Chadripital 175.
Lead ingot 138, lead imported 140, aluminium ingots 109, sheet cutting 110, aluminium wire scrap 110 and aluminium utensils scrap 107.
