Copper output in Zambia optimistic in 2011
According to Zambia's central bank, copper production in Zambia, Africa's leading producer of the metal is predicted to hike by 10% to 900 thousand tonnes to reach history record highs in 2011 from 819.159 thousand tonnes last year.
It’s known that the mining industry is the Zambia's economic and social backbone. Zambia is ranked as the world's seventh largest producer of copper, generating 3.3% of the western world’s production. Also, the country is the world's second largest producer of cobalt.
Furthermore, the country’s mining companies aggressively boost the production by expanding new business development and current production levels.
