Indian copper and lead up on industrial demand
PTI reported that select base metals including copper and lead strengthened by INR 3 per kilogram in the local nonferrous metal market on the back of pick up in industrial demand.
Market analysts said that increased demand from consuming industries such as cable makers and battery manufacturing units mainly supported the upside in copper and lead prices.
In the national capital, copper wire scrap, copper wire bar and copper mixed scrap were up by INR 3 each to INR 508, INR 531 and INR 491 per kilogram respectively.
Lead ingot and lead imported also strengthened by similar margin to INR 144 and INR 147 per kilogram respectively.
